As I sit inside my warm house watching the snowflakes fall my heart is happy. I love remembering special days, and today is an anniversary to one of my most favorite days of all, the day I received the Holy Ghost four years ago. My spiritual birthday!
I cannot help but think of Isaiah 1:18,Just as the snow falls on the ground tonight and covers all the dirt and ugliness of the imperfect landscape so has the blood of Jesus covered my sins and ugliness and made me clean, and beautiful in His sight. How wonderful is it that those that have been baptized and filled can be as clean and pure as the snow?Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
The snow brings reassurance, peace, and joy that I am a child of God, covered by the blood! I may fail at times but I can be blanketed by the forgiveness and love of Jesus. Oh how He loves us!
